Fit+Fierce Featured in the St. Albert Gazette: Helping Girls Find Their Confidence

2 min read

We’re incredibly proud to see Fit+Fierce featured in the St. Albert Gazette in an article highlighting what our program is all about: helping girls build confidence, discover their strength and become the best version of themselves.

At Fit+Fierce, we believe that confidence is something you build. It doesn’t happen overnight, and it isn’t about being the loudest person in the room or always feeling completely sure of yourself.

It’s about learning to trust yourself.

It’s about trying something new even when you’re nervous. Speaking up when you have something to say. Learning what your body can do. Surrounding yourself with girls who encourage you. And understanding that strength comes in a lot of different forms.

That’s why Fit+Fierce was created.

More Than Fitness

While movement and fitness are an important part of what we do, Fit+Fierce has always been about so much more than a workout.

Our program brings together fitness, mindset and nutrition, while creating opportunities for girls to learn, connect and grow in a supportive environment.

Through our monthly sessions, weekly classes, workshops, mentors and special events, girls get to explore what it means to be strong both physically and mentally.

They get to ask questions. Try new things. Make friends. Learn from women who inspire them. And, most importantly, figure out who they are.

Creating a Community Where Girls Can Be Girls

One of the most meaningful parts of Fit+Fierce is the community.

Growing up can be complicated. Girls are navigating school, friendships, social media, body image, expectations and a million other things at once. We want Fit+Fierce to be a place where they can show up exactly as they are, without having to be perfect.

A place where they can cheer each other on instead of comparing themselves.

A place where being strong isn't about looking a certain way.

A place where confidence isn't something they have to earn.

It's something they get to build.

We're Just Getting Started

Being featured in the St. Albert Gazette is a meaningful moment for our entire Fit+Fierce community, but it's also a reminder of why we're doing this work.

Every girl who walks through our doors is an opportunity to make a positive impact.

Every new skill learned, new friendship made, goal accomplished and moment of confidence gained matters.

And we’re excited to keep growing this community and creating even more experiences that help girls feel strong, confident, capable and supported.

Thank you to the St. Albert Gazette for shining a light on Fit+Fierce and the importance of creating spaces where girls can grow into themselves.

We’re proud of where we are.

And we’re even more excited about where we’re going.

This is Fit+Fierce. And we’re just getting started.
